We miss the curious lick, and wagging tail,
The joyous welcome, at the door,
The sailing round, and energy bursts.
The way you slept, stretched on the floor.

Your friendly face and affectionate way,
We're grateful that we had those things,
Your time with us, was much too fleeting,
Our heartfelt love, is remembered today.
